ECHO's North America Regional Impact Center in Fort Myers, Florida USA will be hosting the IV International Symposium on Underutilized Plant Species on 20-24 October 2025, under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science. This international event will bring academics, experts, and members of the worldwide horticultural community together for a four-day forum to network and exchange information about underutilized plant species. Plenary, oral, and poster sessions will take place at the main venue, the Luminary Hotel & Co. in downtown Fort Myers. Programming will also include a day at ECHO's Global Demonstration Farm, which features many species of underutilized plants. ECHO (HomeAg Portal) is a non-profit technical resourcing organization that works to strengthen the capacity of a global network to defeat hunger through sustainable agricultural practices.
